HPAT Practice – FAQs
The HPAT-Ireland (Health Professions Admission Test) is an aptitude-based exam used alongside the Leaving Certificate for entry to undergraduate medicine in Ireland. It assesses how you think, not what you’ve memorised.
HPAT has three sections:
- Logical Reasoning & Problem Solving
- Interpersonal Understanding
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
PeopleHawk practice is aligned with all three areas.
The HPAT exam lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes and is completed in one sitting under timed conditions.
PeopleHawk full mock exams reflect this timing.
Yes. Every HPAT practice question on PeopleHawk includes a full explanation, whether your answer is right or wrong.
You’ll see:
- Why the correct answer works
- Why the other options don’t
- How to approach similar questions in the future
This helps students improve reasoning, not just practice more questions.
Yes. You can begin with short, low-pressure practice sessions and gradually build towards full timed mock exams as confidence improves.
