Yi Sun-sin(1545 – 1598) was a great admiral of Korea who saved his country on the peril of break down during the Imjin War.

Over the course of his military career, he fought in 23 naval engagements against the Japanese. In most of these battles, he was outnumbered and lacked resources. Yet, he still won all of these battles. He is regarded as one of the greatest naval commanders in history.
