Miyamoto Musashi (c. 1584 – 1645), was a Japanese swordsman, philosopher and strategist. Musashi, as he was often simply known, became renowned through stories of his unique double-bladed swordsmanship and undefeated record in his 61 duels.
He invented kensai, which is the style of fencing with two swords.
